Our Story
We started out building RAPID, a cloud-based, protocol-agnostic IoT platform. As we began speaking with larger enterprises, a clear message came through: the cloud wasn’t always the answer. The scale of data, along with security and ownership concerns, meant they needed something closer to the ground. Around the same time, we came across the IDEX challenge on “Implementing Industry 4.0 for shipyards without Wi-Fi connectivity.” We decided to take it on, won it, and in the process, completely rebuilt RAPID from scratch. That’s how Honeycomb was born; a fully on-premise IoT and analytics platform built for secure, real-time operations in disconnected environments. As we continued, Honeycomb evolved quickly. We went on to win two more IDEX projects in Geo-AI and Satellite-supported IoT, both focused on real-time monitoring of strategic assets. To deliver these, we partnered with T-Hub, and through their T-Drive program, we were introduced to HAL, who had a requirement for blade inspection. That collaboration led to DISy, our AI-based digital inspection platform. From a SaaS experiment to a defense-grade on-premise platform ecosystem, our journey has been about listening, learning, and building technology that works where it truly matters.
